Formula solicitations

The goal of this opportunity is to assist eligible states and units of local government with existing crime laboratories that conduct DNA analysis to process, and/or to increase the capacity to process, more DNA samples for entry into the Combined DNA Index System by publicly funded forensic DNA and DNA database laboratories.

Through this opportunity, BJA will award JAG Program funds to eligible units of local government as described in the solicitation.

This program seeks to increase access to evidence-based prevention and treatment, reduce overdose deaths, and support increased access to evidence-based substance use disorder treatment and recovery support services, including medication-assisted treatment, to treat incarcerated individuals.

This program provides student loan repayment assistance for local, state, and federal public defenders and local and state prosecutors who commit to extended service in those roles.

Only states may apply under this solicitation, and states must designate a single State Administering Agency that has authority to apply on their behalf.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance will award JAG Program funds to eligible units of local government as described in this solicitation.

The Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Grant Program awards funds to certified fiscal agents that work with PSN Teams in federal judicial districts to support those districts’ PSN strategies.

This program provides funding to states and units of local government with existing crime laboratories that conduct DNA analysis to increase the capacity of publicly funded forensic DNA and DNA database laboratories to process more DNA samples.

This program seeks to improve forensic science and medical examiner/coroner services, including services provided by laboratories operated by states and units of local government. This solicitation is only for the formula funds available under the program.

This program assists states with developing and implementing residential substance use disorder treatment programs within state correctional facilities, as well as within local correctional and detention facilities, in which persons are incarcerated for a period of time sufficient to permit substance use disorder treatment.
