Reentry

This program provides funding to establish, expand, and improve treatment and recovery support services for people with substance use disorders during their incarceration and upon reentry into the community.

This program provides funding for state, local, and tribal community supervision agencies to develop and test new or enhanced applications of the swift, certain, and fair principles of intervention to reduce recidivism and improve outcomes for people under community supervision.

This opportunity will provide funding under the Second Chance Act to nonprofit organizations and Indian tribes to provide reentry services and programs.

Through this opportunity, BJA is seeking applications for funding state, local, and tribal governments to enhance or implement performance-based and outcomes-based contracts with reentry, permanent supportive housing, or recovery housing providers to reduce recidivism and address the substance use disorders impacting formerly incarcerated people.

This opportunity will provide funding to deliver training and technical assistance on strategies to strengthen tribal correctional system capacity to enhance public safety and facilitate successful community reintegration efforts.
