Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2021, $1,084,886)

Guam is one of the few states/territories that does not have legislation for mandatory use for prescribers.  This proposal will be to update the rules and regulations governing the Guam Prescription Drug Monitoring Program to include legislation for mandatory use for prescribers, mandatory use compliance module, and a prescriber report card feature.  These features will continue the enhancement of the Guam PMP database to ensure all prescribers on Guam are registered and using the Guam PMP to ensure proper pain management.  The proposal will also include services to create public awareness materials and training materials to inform prescribers and dispensers about the benefts of using the Guam PMP.
