Harmony PlaceLPCC Family Reunification Center

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) will develop and implement the “Harmony Place/Family Reunification Center” Program at the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex. The Program will involve the construction of a child-friendly family visiting center, which will have specific areas for parenting training, private counseling, and general assembly for family activities, as well as a playground and residential-looking landscaping. The interior finishes will be similar to a typical classroom. Additionally, LPSO will use grant funds to review, modify, and implement visitation policies, procedures, and staff training to support family strengthening and the best interests of child visitors.
