Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2021, $70,000)
The Henderson Police Department is submitting this grant application to begin a new Body Worn Camera (BWC) Program for the agency. The agency currently has no body worn cameras, only in-car video systems for designated Patrol vehicles. The agency is proposing to implement this project using grant funding for 50% of the cost and local (match) funds for 50% of the cost. Due to the agency currently having in-car cameras and digital image technology from Watch-Guard we are proposing to use this vendor as a sole source vendor in order to integrate their Body-worn Camera units with our already existing In-Car Video system.
Size of the agency in total current full time sworn officers: 52
Total current Part-time Officers: 9
Number of Cameras the agency proposed to be purchased: 52
