Fixed Network Equipment Upgrade for Wolcott Police Department

The Town of Wolcott Connecticut is applying for the 2022 Byrne Discretionary Grant in an effort to obtain funds necessary to update and replace all components for the radiocommunication equipment utilized by emergency services. The Wolcott Police Department, which works with other emergency service entities, is responsible for the overall safety of the town, and the use of radiocommunications is necessary for the successful execution of all duties.  The Town of Wolcott has conducted research and held meeting attended by department heads and radiocommunications experts, to create an accurate accounting to reflect the immediate needs to successfully upgrad the Fixed Network Equipment Upgrade.  Based on the research and communications with venders, the total cost for the proposed project is approximately $3,200,000.
