Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $25,371)
The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), through the North Dakota Office of Attorney General (NDOAG), would like to request $25,371 in Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) funding to support the Adam Walsh Act. This is in response to the invitation to apply.
BCI plans to further enhance the functionality and formatting of the existing North Dakota sex offender website. These changes will better serve the citizens of North Dakota by adding the ability to seamlessly track each offender and add other various functions and details to gain SORNA compliance in this section. To accomplish these things, additional changes are necessary to the existing system.
Each aspect of this SORNA FY 2022 grant application supports ND’s overarching strategy of moving closer to SORNA compliance. Granting this request for SORNA FY 2022 funds will allow the NDOAG’s project team, which consists of technical, legal, and programmatic staff, to work collaboratively to complete the objectives outlined above.
