FY22 Project Safe Neighborhood-Eastern District of Pennsylvania

The Project Safe Neighborhood strategy within the Eastern District of Pennsylvania significant portion of our proposal supports the conation of Special Assistant United States Attorneys (SAUSA) to handle firearms cases, with the goal of disrupting drug and firearm trafficking operations that utilize major thoroughfares in and around Philadelphia. That SAUSA from the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General would assist in continuing to bring more firearms cases, and all would receive additional benefit of any deterrent effect of the additional cases handled by the Special AUSA. It is intended that the SAUSA project component will meet the PSN requirement to support gang task forces in regions experiencing high levels of violent crime. The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General has been identified as a subrecipient to support the role of the SAUSA.
