Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $377,589)
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is requesting to use the reallocated funds to offset the costs associated with auditing our Community Confinement Facilities (CCFs) where incarcerated males and females are placed while transitioning to parole or discharge programs; and using the PREA Audit process to meet and/or work toward the goal of "zero tolerance" in all our institutions, camps, and facilities Statewide.
This Department is focused on providing specific and specialized programming in order to create a trauma-informed therapeutic environment containing the following core elements: safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment.
