Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $728,521)

The Klamath Tribes propose to create its first ever Public Safety Department Building that will be the headquarters for the 2021 created Public Safety Department. The new modular facility will serve the Klamath People and the region surrounding Chiloquin, Oregon in Klamath County, Oregon. The structure will be located on tribal land, is adjacent to the core tribal facilities in the community of Chiloquin, Oregon and will encompass 2,160 square feet. The project will benefit the Klamath People, as well as its neighbors and the general population that includes the thousands of people who traverse the nearby Highway 97 that runs through the county and the state connecting Washington and California. The time-limited construction project will be completed within one year of the award and serve the Klamath People for decades to come.
