Expansion and Capacity Building for Sitka's Tribal Court

Investing in Tribal judicial capacity is essential to ensure the future viability of Sitka's Tribal Court. The Sitka Tribe of Alaska is requesting funding for stipends for three new Tribal judges for three years, travel and training funds, and support for a full-time Court Clerk to support the judges. STA is also requesting some funding to support improvements in records management. This project will serve adults and juveniles in family law matters in Tribal Court, and adults in the Tribe's Healing to Wellness Court.
