La Paz Jail Vehicle Replacement

The La Paz County Sheriff's Office proposes to implement the Jail Van Replacement Project.

SECTION #1: The purpose is to replace our current aging jail van fleet with new vehicles, in La Paz County, which will be safer for detainees and Jail staff and not prone to mechanical breakdowns during operations (which is occurring with our current fleet). 

SECTION #2: Project activities include the purchase and implementation of one (1) Jail Transport Van and one (1) Jail Transport SUV.

SECTION #3: Expected outcomes include the safe operation and transportation of Federal detainees from the US Border Patrol and ICE who are being housed in the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office Jail on Federal Immigration violations. These Federal detainees are transported throughout Western Arizona, Southern Arizona, and to Phoenix at the direction of Federal law enforcement agencies. 

SECTION #4: Subrecipient activities include the safe transportation of Federal detainees throughout Western Arizona, Southern Arizona, and to Phoenix at the direction of Federal law enforcement agencies.
