The Ohio QRT Association mission is to deliver support around public safety for the health and well-being of those struggling with substance use disorder, through the development of deflection and pre-arrest diversion strategies, support tools, and facilitating the education of community partners providing outreach services. Focusing on real life challenges with real time solutions by providing communities with education, guidance, and resources.
The Ohio QRT Association is still in its infancy. They have elected an executive board and identified five regions within the state of Ohio, are currently working to find individuals to represent each of the regions. With federal support, the Ohio QRT Association will become a fully functioning center of excellence for substance use and mental health outreach services available to all communities within the state of Ohio and beyond. Obtaining federal support will allow OQA to launch a website, making resources and trainings available to teams nationwide. Additionally, it will support the Ohio QRT Association facilitating continued growth and collaboration of community partners, as well as cross collaboration of agencies. Connecting law enforcement, treatment agencies, public health, EMS, and hospitals will create a network of agencies working collectively as a team towards a common goal of connecting individuals in need to the appropriate forms of services and/or treatment.
