Law Enforcement Equipment and Technology Upgrades

The Hancock County Commission proposes to implent improvements to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office. The purpose is to implement a stand-alone video monitoring system for the office as well as providing 3 new cruisers and upgrades to their conference room in the Hancock County Courthouse. Project activities include: allowing all Hancock County Sheriff Office Vehicles to have a video monitoring system; allow all officers to have body-cams; purchase 3 cruisers; updates to the Sheriff's conference room. Expected outcomes include: allowing all sheriff's deputies and vehicles to have a historic video record involving a vehicle or deputy; allowing 3 new cruisers to join the fleet; allowing for trainings and virtual seminars. The Hancock County Sheriff's office and the citizens of Hancock County are the intended beneficiaries of the project.
