The grant recipient intends to maintain levels of criminal incidents as low as reaching so far so that they can remain one of the municipalities with the least crime in the Arecibo area. The grant recipient also intends to keep the members of the force educated in relation to modern prevention and intervention techniques, so that these exercises are carried out within the parameters of adequate efficiency, legality, constitutionality, and professionalism. Seeking in this way to achieve the highest degree of security for their people, but at the same time guarantee maximum respect for citizen rights, courteous, and professional treatment of those intervened, and that the citizen creates awareness of the duty and responsibility of the members of the body to do its job.

This project is developed under the direction of the Municipal Police Commissioner, counting for the supervision of this one captain with two lieutenants and a sergeant. They have eleven Municipal Police positions.

Obtain equipment for a projector and a screen for it, to have adequate equipment in their facility to be able to provide training, workshops to their law enforcement officers together with the state police and to be able to continue tempering their police officers with the knowledge in the reform of the State Police.

Obtain two computers so that the police officers can make their reports and complaints under the new digitized system, since in their barracks they do not have enough computers and trained personnel with the current system.

To be able to recruit three public order officers to reinforce the shifts and areas of other crimes and surveillance of the victims of physical aggression, robbery, domestic violence, and escalation in our municipality.

Obtaining a "Trailer" cart available to be used as a Mobile Command center will allow them to provide first-line care in various situations such as natural and human-caused disasters, mass activities, crime scenes, traffic accidents, etc. Resources equipped with cameras and other essential equipment can be moved to points of high criminal incidence, resulting in direct attention to the problem and serving as a deterrent, along with a work plan with the PR State Police.

The grant recipient seeks to obtain what constitutes a very valuable resource both at the level of evidence and deterrence.

This work will be carried out as is the norm through coordination with the State Police. The method to be used for the direction and control of the district’s administrative, programmatic, and fiscal aspects will be the follow-up of the mentioned strategies to satisfy our goals and objectives.

The work plan prepared will go through stages that include the identification of the problem, the assignment of a strategic objective to prevent the situations presented, and the development of new strategies to meet the objectives set.

The elaboration of each strategy presented and the recommendation of specific actions in and during the development of the project will help in its implementation and fulfillment. Thus, achieving the objectives based on the variables presented brand the activities described in the proposal so that the activities described in the proposal are developed in a coherent and articulated manner.

To achieve the goals and objectives of the project, the grant recipient will monitor the manifestations and tendencies of the incidence, criminal, evaluating times, places and crimes of greater occurrence.
