Danville Police Vehicle Upgrade

The Town of Danville has not been able to purchase a new police cruiser since 1998. The town relied on used vehicles since that purchase. Danville is a very small, impoverished community of approximately 650 people. However, the town is next door neighbors with the City of Madison who has a population over 3,000. Crime or criminals know no boundaries. The town constantly assists the City of Madison and Boone County Sheriff's Department in the surrounding areas. Both vehicles the Town owns have well over 150,000 miles on each. The town has a yearly budget of approximately $522,000.00 per year. The town officers need a safe and dependable vehicle for their safety and the safety of the town residents.
