The City of Richmond's Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) is a non-law enforcement governmental agency whose sole mission is to reduce firearm related injuries and deaths. A primary strategy of the ONS is the Operation Peacemaker Fellowship (hereafter, “the Fellowship”).  The Fellowship is an 18-month non-mandated intensive positive youth development/justice [mentoring] intervention specifically designed for youth and young adults ages 14-35 who have been identified [suspected] to be the most lethal and active firearm offenders (and most at-risk for being a victim to gun violence) in Richmond.  The Fellowship is a government initiated non-law enforcement firearm assault interruption and reduction strategy implemented and managed by the City of Richmond Office of Neighborhood Safety.
