Logan County SCF Pretrial Services

The Logan County Common Pleas Court, Pretrial Services Division proposes to use federal funds to create the Swift, Certain, and Fair Initiative, which will develop a comprehensive approach to supervise adults that have been indicted on felony charges. The program will include provision of services that focus on mental health, substance use, and housing concerns. The goals of this program include fewer incarcerations prior to case disposition, increased court attendance for more administrative efficiency, and increased compliance with bond conditions. These goals will be met with the addition of a dedicated, full-time compliance officer. This officer will focus on monitoring, reminders of court appearances and appointments, referrals for treatment, and revocations. The officer will provide increased supervision and early identification of needs and will link needs to appropriate services. As defendants establish high levels of compliance, there will be a reduction in supervision.
