FFY2023 Edward Byrne Memorial JAG Program

The Anchorage Police Department (APD) will use JAG funds to purchase laptops for officers and desktop computers for the dispatch center to replace units that reached end of serviceable life. The new dispatch computers will provide necessary specification to handle increase capacity needed with the new CAD/RMS system that is projected to go live March 2024. Additionally, APD will purchase drying racks for the evidence warehouse to provide improved evidence processing time, new handheld radios to allow mission-critical communications, and secure APD servers, and grant management training.
