Thermal Imaging Binoculars for GRPD Field Operations Bureau (Patrol)

The Gila River Police Department will use the JAG funds to purchase thermal imaging binoculars for its field operations bureau, patrol unit. The purpose is to address the disparity of outdated equipment by providing advanced optics to improve the operational efficiency of LEOs, enhance the capabilities of the patrol unit by using equipment in low-light situations as most illegal activities are often done under cover of darkness, and increase officer safety with resources needed when patrolling 584 square miles of reservation land.
