Crime Reduction Program

The Tempe Police Department will use the Justice Assistance Grant funds to purchase and install objective recognition / license plate reader cameras to deter and suppress violent crime.  This will be accomplished through community partnerships, education, intelligence gathering, intelligence-led enforcement, and high visibility patrol.  Additionally, investigative resources, including personnel and equipment will be deployed to the area to provide real-time intelligence, surveillance, and high visibility deterrence.
