Ballistic Shields and Night Vision Scope

The City of Manteca will utilize the FY 23 local JAG funds to provide snipers on the SWAT team with night vision scopes. With the night vision scopes, this will not only aid victims in being identified but also greatly increase the safety of its officers, who could potentially be misidentified as a suspect. In summary, night vision scopes provide police snipers with the ability to operate effectively in low-light or nighttime scenarios, enhancing their situational awareness, accuracy, and overall safety during critical operations.
