To purchase infrared sights for our regional SWAT team and purchase a forward facing portal where citizen's can lodge complaints or make compliments about our police officers.

The City of Arvada will use JAG funds to purchase infrared laser sights for nine of our officers to utilize with our regional partnership with the Jefferson County Regional SWAT Team. Currently, Arvada's cadre of Jeffco team members do not have the same laser sights the rest of the team does, inhibiting their ability to see while using night vision goggles. Additionally, we are requesting funding to cover the startup cost for an external, public facing portal that will allow the public to lodge formal complaints, but also submit compliments based on their interactions with our officers.
