Purchase of Police Equipment

The disparate jurisdictions of the City of Aurora and Arapahoe County will use JAG funds for technology improvements and equipment. The Arapahoe County will use JAG funds to replace the outdated, unsupported taser devices. The City of Aurora will use JAG funds to purchase night vision goggles to promote the SWAT team’s ability to resolve situations quickly and safely in periods of darkness, purchase a new property and evidence walk-in freezer to promote the efficient storage of evidence to properly resolve cases, and a police motorcycle to promote community safety via traffic enforcement.
