The city of West Haven will use JAG funds for the purchase of 22 new desktop computers to support day-to-day activities for the Police Department, which has been unable to fund computer upgrades since 2014. Current computers at the PD are outdated. Out of the 150 desktops in service, 128 will need to be retired in Spring 2025 as they cannot be upgraded to Windows 11 making them a security risk.
