Stamford's FY 2023 JAG Program

The City of Stamford will utilize JAG funds for two purposes. First, to purchase an upgraded X-Ray Scanning System and related equipment for our regional Bomb Squad. The new System will replace an outdated system. Second, to contract with a qualified vendor to provide Tactical Arrest and Control Procedures (TACP) training to approximately (25) Police Officers. This training teaches de-escalation techniques and less-than-lethal options for police officers to deploy in potentially volatile incidents. These officers will in turn train additional Stamford Police Officers.
