JAG 2023 New Haven Police Department

The City of New Haven will use JAG funds for overtime to bolster security of specific districts and to pursue investigations. Funds will be used to purchase training to re-establish a Cold Case Unit and to enhance video and video integrations (Camtasia) and mobile device evidence collection (Cellebrite) for staff working at our new Crime Gun Intelligence Center. We propose to purchase upgrades for our Training Academy Library, DNA testing services for cold cases, drug destruction services, PAL program supplies, and RapidHit DNA machine supplies.
