Nassau County Investigative Equipment Purchase

The JAG grant funding will be used to enhance the equipment capabilities currently used by the detectives within the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) Investigations Division and the NCSO Special Response Team (SRT).  These two units primarily focus on the interception of illegal narcotics, weapons, and human trafficking. Nassau County has recently seen an influx of human trafficking and illegal narcotics as well has the Jacksonville, FL metropolitan area that encompasses Nassau County. By having these new resources, it will aid detectives in seizing illegal contraband, felony case preparation, prosecution of suspects/defendants.
