Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $18,988)
The Pinellas Park Police Department will utilize JAG funding to purchase software to enhance two program areas within Internal Affairs. One module, the EI\IPro provides:
Peer Group Analysis - performs peer group analysis to emphasize employees who may require closer observations by highlighting the incidents of which they have been involved;
Configuarable Incident Types - incident types displayed to users are fully configurable by administrators in order to surface the most relevant information to users; and
Information Security: Access, Control, and Background Audit Logging - screening of infromation access is configurable in several dimesnsions in order that sensitive or non-relevant information is not accessible. Detailed background logging of user access and viewing of information is another key part of the EIPro solution.
The second module will be an advanced public portal for complaints. The new software will be tied directly to the Police Department's current system, improving the traditional ad-hoc method currently in use.
The remaining available funds will be used to purchase ammunition necessary for training and field operations.
The goals of the project include: 1) Purchase and put into service software that will advance the Pinellas Park Police Department's Internal Affairs operations. 2) Purchase and put into service equipment that will improve the Pinellas Park Police Department's preparedness for dangerous situations.
