Marietta PD Equipment Procurement Program 2023

The Marietta PD Equipment Procurement Program 2023 will provide vital equipment to officers of the Marietta Police Department to fortify their capability and ability to serve the citizens of Marietta. Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Program FY 2023 Local Solicitation grant funds will be used to procure two (2) patrol e-bikes and two (2) handheld ticket/LPR devices. Other procurements include Critical Mention media monitoring software renewal and Leads Online renewal. The patrol e-bikes afford officers the ability to respond rapidly to emergency calls for service in areas where a patrol vehicle may not be ideal. This will allow the Marietta Police Department to better serve the citizens of Marietta, investigate crimes, and pursue criminal actors, regardless of terrain. The handheld ticket/LPR device will allow officers working downtown area to issue, track and manage parking citations throughout their lifecycle; while LRP capabilities will allow for seamless capturing of license plate information which will increase officer productivity and accuracy.
