Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG)

The city of Ottumwa Police Department will use JAG funds for equipment. The police department will purchase a ballistic shield, a thermal camera to be used with a pole camera system the department utilizes for searches conducted in a safe manner, and ballistic plates to be used with high-risk ballistic vests. The disparate jurisdiction of Wapello County Sheriff's Department will use JAG funds for technology improvements and equipment. The county sheriff's department will purchase an outdoor PTZ camera and mounting and communication connectivity equipment.
