Bicycle Patrol for Community Engagement

The City of Coeur d'Alene Police Department will use JAG funds to purchase 6 E-bikes. By leveraging e-bikes, police officers can efficiently respond to incidents, engage in community policing, and promote positive interactions with the public. Additionally, e-bikes contribute to reduced carbon emissions, cost savings, and improved officer health and wellness. This project seeks funding to acquire a fleet of e-bikes, providing law enforcement agencies with an effective tool to enhance crime prevention, community safety, and officer engagement while promoting environmental sustainability.
