FY23 JAG City/County Equipment

The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office will use their share of JAG funds to update their Panasonic Toughbooks that are currently being used in the field. The Pocatello Police Department will use their share of JAG funds to to purchase one VESTA 9-1-1 Mobile CommandPOST. The VESTA 9-1-1 CommandPOST will expand the Pocatello Emergency Communications Center’s existing call handling system. The CommandPOST is an easily deployable laptop that allows call-handling capabilities including 9-1-1 from remote locations outside the center. It provides the same features and functionality as the primary call center position. The VESTA 9-1-1 CommandPOST will add another call-taker position to be utilized in the emergency communications supervisor’s office, which can be taken remotely when necessary.
