The City of Aurora's Police Department and the City of Elgin intend to purchase equipment/software and Kane County, our disparate agency, will use funds to maintain a policy and training program.

The City of Aurora Police Department plans to use this award to purchase water rescuer equipment for patrol vehicles to enhance the safety of the citizens. The City of Elgin Police Department plans to use this award to purchase replacements for obsolete units and to add new cameras in support its community service strategy. The County of Kane will use this award for a Law Enforcement & Custody Manual and Daily In­ Service Training Bulletin Program to improve policy, procedures, and notifications to employees to reduce risk and liability and to improve police service within the county.
