FY23 JAG Grant Elkhart County Sheriff, Elkhart City Police, Goshen City Police Collaboration

The disparate jurisdictions of Goshen City and Elkhart County will use JAG funds for technology and equipment improvements. Elkhart City declined FY2023 funding. The County of Elkhart will use funds to update the outdated fingerprint system to improve efficiency and efficacy. The county will also use funds to supply officers with training supplies, safety equipment, and mobile radar signs with read-out displays. Goshen City will use funds to procure and deploy in-car mount radios to improve officer efficacy, efficiency, and safety. New radios will ensure improved communications in the line of duty.
