County-wide law enforcement services/equipment for Riley County, KS

The Riley County Police Department (RCPD) is a consolidated law enforcement agency in Kansas and through consolidation RCPD serves all the rural communities along with the City of Manhattan which is home to Kansas State University and the National Bio and Agro Defense Facility.  With the grant funding we seek to support and attract law enforcement officers by purchasing officers a firearm for duty use with optics for improved accuracy.  This assists with recruiting and retention of officers by providing the officer with a department issued firearm and allows our training program to be consistent when all officers carry the same firearm.
