2023 Edward Byrne Memorial JAG Grant

The county of Daviess will use JAG funds to replace old outdated computer and radio equipment with new more reliable equipment to help with communication between law enforcement officers and the 911 dispatch center.  The county of Daviess will also use grant monies to purchase a battery charging bank to be utilized for charging portable radio batteries.  These items will be purchased throughout the two year grant cycle.  The county of Daviess and the City of Owensboro are classified as disparate jurisdictions.  There will be no coordination plans necessary due to the fact that the City of Owensboro government officials have agreed to allow the county of Daviess to utilize all JAG funds for the 2023 JAG local solicitation.  A memoradum of understanding, MOU, will be signed by by all interested parties acknowledging the same.
