LMPD - Mobile Data Terminal Project

To address precipitous increases in violent crime, and to leverage technological advancements, Louisville Metro Government responds to the JAG FY2023 solicitation, and proposes a project to replace 122 mobile data terminal units (MDT), including mounting systems, printers, in-car video, and related equipment. MDT units facing obsolescence will be replaced, addressing challenges associated with processor and software limitations. Replacements ensure officer safety and efficiency by providing access to real-time crime information and enhancing internal communication between officers and dispatch. The most up-to-date MDT units also provide a mechanism for resource optimization and integration with other systems. Estimated project costs are $847,059.00
