East Baton Rouge Parish JAG Program

The grantees include the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office and the police department for the city of Baton Rouge. The grantees intend to use FY-23 JAG funds to purchase and maintain video/computer equipment, and general law enforcement equipment that would be otherwise be unavailable, due to budgetary constraints. Approved budget items will promote officer and citizen safety throughout our communities. This JAG funding will supplement our combined efforts as law enforcement in East Baton Rouge Parish. Each of our offices receive JAG funding for specific task forces through our State Commission on Law Enforcement. This JAG award will enhance those task force efforts and enable our offices to coordinate enforcement activities better.
