The Worcester Police Department (WPD) seeks federal funding through the Edward M. Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (FY 23 Local Solicitation Program) to enhance our response to quality-of-life issues throughout the City of Worcester and continue to build and foster relationships with members of the Worcester community. Additionally, this funding will allow WPD to maintain a monthly presence at 51 neighborhood and crime watch meetings, 25 of which are in identified high risk areas. Through the Worcester Police Department and in collaboration with neighborhood and community organizations, they will continue to identify, respond, and improve quality of life issues that exist in neighborhoods, business districts, parks, and other public places.
