Charles County's Cold Case and Drug Court Support Program

Charles County plans to implement two different programs with JAG funds. The first program to be implemented by the Charles County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is a program that will assist in solving cold cases, arresting the perpetrators of these offenses, and providing long awaited resolution to families and victims impacted by heinous crimes. The second program will be implemented through the Charles County Circuit Court Drug Courts Program and will be utilized to pay a portion of the drug court coordinator’s salary. The drug court coordinator is responsible for performing administrative work and coordinating activities for the Charles County Drug Courts. This work involves extensive planning, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring activities of the Charles County Drug Courts in accordance with policies, procedures, and judicial standards, in compliance with Maryland Rules and the Annotated Code of Maryland. The Charles County Circuit Court currently operates a Family Recovery Court and an Adult Drug Court.
