Law Enforcement Surveillance Trailer

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is seeking to use Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program FY 2023 funding to purchase a mobile law enforcement surveillance trailer which will aid in the prevention of criminal activity by allowing this agency to monitor public events as well as provide investigative information to solve crimes in areas where criminal activity has occurred to better ensure the safety and well-being of residents and visitors in Ottawa County.

The County of Ottawa is approximately 565 square miles which includes 5 major highway/freeways, 2 state parks, 26 county parks, and 2 colleges/universities.  Ottawa County borders Lake Michigan and is home to many inland waterways.  Ottawa County has a population of nearly 300,000 people.  The Sheriff’s Office operates 7 satellite branch offices throughout the county, with our main headquarters office located in the center of the county.
