Training & Investigative Improvements

The Mankato Department of Public Safety intends to utilize the grant funds to increase investigative effectiveness and positive investigative outcomes through the utilization of technology and enhance realistic training through force-on-force solutions. The items purchased with grant funding ensure that our agency operates in a manner that provides that best service to the community that we serve. The first area of focus increases investigative effectiveness and positive investigative outcomes by allowing Mankato Department of Public Safety staff to utilize an online repository with public and propriety information that will aid in investigations and help solve crimes. The second area of focus will enhance training and officer preparedness through scenario-based realistic training using force-on-force equipment and related safety solutions.
