Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Communications Enhancement 2023

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office will use the JAG funds to purchase radios that will assist their agency with interoperability needs. The radios give dual band functionality to the officer so that they can talk with units on an 800MHz band and VHF band. The radios hold a higher capacity of channels to be able to accommodate statewide communication with all public safety personal. In all, this line of radios will give the officer maximum functionality with the current and new communication systems. Multi-unit chargers will be purchased so that each zone office has a multi-unit charger available for deputies to utilize.
