Lamar County Sheriff's Office intends to use funds as laid out under Law Enforcement Programs under the violent crime prevention and reduction section.

The County of Lamar will use awarded funds to increase law enforcement patrols in higher crime areas in an attempt to prevent crime and gun violence, and increase community trust and positive public perception of the department. The department intends to use funds to pay overtime for deputies to work saturation patrols and conduct community outreach, with an emphasis in fostering better relationships between law enforcement and violent juvenile offenders.
