FY 2023 Local JAG

The City of Henderson Police Department will enhance officer and citizen safety by increasing the number of mobile ballistic shields available to each of the four patrol divisions during each shift. These shields will protect officers when searching for hidden suspects or a suicidal person who may be armed, when clearing a high-risk vehicle, rescuing a downed officer, or when clearing perimeters with K9 teams. The shields will provide protection for citizens during a critical incident.
