Safety, Training, and Technology Upgrades

The Hempstead Police Department will use the JAG funds to purchase laptops, printers, and equipment. The computers and equipment will aid police officers in data sharing with the Nassau Police Department and the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. These new computers and equipment will allow the information to be shared at a quicker rate between departments which allows the officers to resume patrol faster and with more knowledge to continue the battle against drugs, guns, gangs, and violent crimes and to improve officer and public safety.
