To Purchase Bullet Proof Vests in Support of Violent Crime Reduction Activities

The City of Newburgh (NY) Police Department has several long standing, successful evidence based violent crime reduction strategies in place that enhance community safety, but is quickly exhausting funds to ensure officer safety. JAG funding will complement CNPD’s violence prevention programs by providing funding to support the purchase of bulletproof vests for new officers and those officers with expired vests.
