City of Cincinnati: Special Investigations Section Overtime and SAA
Special Investigations Section Overtime will provide specialized Police investigations throughout the City of Cincinnati and for criminal task force projects. The Cincinnati Police Department (CPD) intends to use the JAG awarded funding to focus on violent crimes, specifically homicides, robberies, and felonious assaults. The response is data driven, and the overall goal is to reduce violent crimes across the City of Cincinnati by placing police officers in identified violent crime locations to conduct covert investigations.
The Sexual Assault Advocate will serve as a liaison between the victim, the police, and the court system. The Sexual Assault Advocate provides face-to-face support to sexual assault victims during police interviews and court appearances. The Sexual Assault Advocate also provides access to needed counseling and follow up services.

Enhancing Adjudication will help to inform and provide the courts with safe community release options for detainees and offenders identified with medium-risk and high need profiles; thereby, reserving local jail resources for high-risk, dangerous offenders who pose a threat to the local community.
