Greenwood Police Department and Greenwood County Sheriff’s office FY23 JAG funds for technology improvements and equipment

The disparate jurisdictions of Greenwood Police Department and Greenwood County Sheriff’s office will use JAG funds for technology improvements and equipment. Specifically, the County of Greenwood will use JAG funds to secure Flocksafety Cameras (ALPR) to help identify targets and solve crimes in high crime areas. The City of Greenwood will use JAG funds to update crime processing equipment, stinger spike strips to decrease pursuit dangers, and provide officers with life saving equipment.
